Sensize has announced the launch of its new Gen 5 Parent Tracker, the latest evolution of the company’s unique Parent/Child asset-tracking solution.
Designed to deliver GPS-like visibility for roll cages, crates, totes, pallets and other returnable transport items (RTIs) at ultra-low cost, Gen 5 sets a new benchmark for scalable, long-life tracking.
This newly released tracker acts as a “Parent” within Sensize’s collaborative network, collecting data from nearby Bluetooth “Child” trackers attached to RTIs, including low cost RTIs such as reusable plastic crates . It transfers the data to the Sensize Portal, providing full visibility and near-instant insights into your supply chain.
The system enables large fleets of assets to be tracked across complex supply chains without the cost and on-site infrastructure associated with traditional GPS or RFID tracking.
The new device introduces major hardware advancements that offer many advantages to Sensize customers.
At 50% thinner than previous Parent generations, and with a battery life of up to ten years (depending on configuration and operating conditions), Gen 5 is engineered to continue working for the entire the operational lifetime of most reusable assets, eliminating the need for disruptive and costly battery replacements.
Fully compatible with global cellular networks in 170+ countries, the tracker is designed for seamless multinational deployments.

“Gen 5 represents a major step forward in making large-scale tracking for low cost assets such as pallets, crates and roll cages commercially viable. Customers want long-life devices that can be deployed once and relied upon for the full asset lifecycle. Gen 5 delivers exactly that, at a price point that enables true network-scale tracking.”
Sensize also confirmed that Gen 5 will make its public debut at LogiMAT 2026, Europe’s leading intralogistics exhibition, held in Stuttgart, Germany.
Visitors to the Sensize stand, number ES26, will be able to see live demonstrations of the new tracker in action, including its integration within the company’s Parent/Child ecosystem and its ability to deliver real-time visibility across mixed fleets of reusable containers.

“LogiMAT is the perfect stage to introduce Gen 5. The event brings together the logistics, retail and pooling companies that are driving digitization across supply chains. We’re excited to show how Gen 5 enables them to track more assets, for longer, at lower cost than ever before.”
